This book blew me away with how good it was！ Callum and Kate were so sweet， and although mistakes were made， I rooted for them all the way through。 I had such a hard time putting this book down that I gobbled it up in just a few days。 I’ll even admit that I liked this one so much so that after listening to it on DB Bookshelf plus with my subscription， I purchased a paperback for my shelf。 Highly recommend！

I love reading。 And I usually have a pretty good opinion of books when I finish。 I think my average rating is， like， 4。3 stars or something。 But it is pretty rare if I finish a book and IMMEDIATELY want to restart and read it again because I loved it that much。 This is one of those books。 SO MUCH LOVE for this book！！

Ugh。。。I wanted to like this book， came back to it 5 or 6 times and it just wasn't it for me。 I appreciate the authenticity but reading Scottish accents in my head is difficult and honestly unattractive。 I was hoping for a bit of an Outlander vibe （minus the explicit sex scenes） with the setting but really it was just， well。。。 meh。 The Hero just stunk and everyone was so pissed at him the whole book it just got annoying。。。no real diversity in conversations。 Whole book was basically "you hurt her Ugh。。。I wanted to like this book， came back to it 5 or 6 times and it just wasn't it for me。 I appreciate the authenticity but reading Scottish accents in my head is difficult and honestly unattractive。 I was hoping for a bit of an Outlander vibe （minus the explicit sex scenes） with the setting but really it was just， well。。。 meh。 The Hero just stunk and everyone was so pissed at him the whole book it just got annoying。。。no real diversity in conversations。 Whole book was basically "you hurt her and she will never trust you" IDK， skipping to the end to find out what happens but I assume it will be just like every other book。Look I don't want to be rude because a lot of people really like this book but it just wasn't it for me。 。。。more

BeautifulI didn’t want to like this book because it’s not a simple， straight forward love story with easy-to-overcome problems。 It’s messy， like real life。 The characters make horrible choices and end up having to deal with the consequences。 It’s heartbreaking and I hate it。 But it’s also beautiful in the way that broken things can be beautiful too。

A beautiful historical romance set in Regency Scotland。 The story is well written and believable。 The characters are deep and imperfect but together they make a wonderful love story。 This book has so much heartache and loss but teaches that hope and love can be found。 A beautiful tale that I will read over and over again。 I highly recommend this fabulous read。
